Getting Things Done

Sometimes, God asks us to do the seemingly impossible.

At least at the time.
Funny how when it's finally done you marvel at how this thing used to keep you up at night once upon a time.

How it seemed you simply couldn't do it because of all your inadequacies. Too bad, too broke, too- fill in the blank.

I’ve been thinking about that and I realize the only reason it appeared that way was because of what you were focusing on.
Your eyes were on yourself and your perceived inadequacies, which don’t matter much because it was never about you. It was always about Him.

So instead of focusing on us and our thousand and one weaknesses, our eyes should always be on Him.
I believe that’s exactly why He tells us to do it. So we focus, not on ourselves and our abilities, but on Him. And in doing so our faith is deepened, and we are strengthened.

Our strength is in Him and if that is the case, how great is our strength?

So today, tomorrow and forever take your eyes off yourself and place them on Him.
The one who told you to do, will provide the strength, resources, and wisdom to do.

Let Him worry about your inadequacies, you just do.

“My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.”

2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT
