Like I said last week, today we'll be looking at a life hack, or principle from Jesus, but as it concerns the questions of purpose and what our priorities should be.

Chances are, you are a young person reading this, and as young people we're constantly plagued with the concerns about how to live, what to focus on, what career to choose, who to date, and all of that.

Here we will be looking at Christ’s answer to that, In what is probably His most famous sermon. He begins to tell His listeners not to worry about the future; what to eat or what to wear or drink, that God knows we need these things and He won’t neglect us.

So he offers us a better way, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

Matthew 6:33

The way I think of it is like using a compass.

Regardless of where you’re headed, you first have to determine where north is. before
This is because north on the compass then serves as a reference point for wherever else it is you’re headed.
If you can’t determine north, you’re already lost before you begin.

Likewise, Christ offers us God as our North. It is in finding Him and following Him, that everything else falls into place.

So if you want to know what your purpose is, or what your priorities in life should be, or if you’re worried about the next steps to take seek God instead, in Him everything else will fall into place.

Thank you for reading,
see you next week.
